The USB Implementers’ Forum (USB-IF), a coalition of consumer electronics industry leaders including Apple, Intel, Dell, and Belkin, created the USB-C, also known as Type-C or USB Type C, connector.
This new technology has gained widespread acceptance as many of the world’s most well-known manufacturers today embrace and use it. With this kind of support, USB-C is displacing older USB forms like Micro USB.
Furthermore, upcoming smartphones and tablets will almost certainly be thinner and lighter than ever before, thanks to the current USB-C connector, which is narrower than its predecessors. Click here to view our USB C chargers, data cables and audio adaptors.
USB-C Is Easier To Plug In And Use
No longer will you have to flip you connector around a number of times looking for the correct way to plug it in. The USB-C, also known as Type-C, connector is simple to use as it is reversible. This connector can be used in any direction. It functions regardless of the direction you plug it in and there is no up or down orientation.
USB Type C is a universal connector and is compatible with smartphones, tablets, notebooks, portable cameras, and anything else that communicates via USB. It’s also compatible with a variety of operating systems, including iOS, Android, Windows, Google, and others.
Charging Performance
With up to 100 watts of power and 3 amps of current, USB-C cables can power almost everything such as laptops, printers and big high resolution displays.
This power delivery is a bi-directional power distribution and this allows your phone, tablet or other device to transmit or receive power. And this power can be transmitted when the device is still sending data over the connection.
This type of power delivery also may be able to charge a laptop, which typically takes up to 60 watts of power. See some of our USB C chargers below.

Power Delivery enabled devices, such as phones, tablets, and laptops, allow for safer, rapid charging and deliver a greater amount of power for larger devices without having to make use of a different power supply.
The USB C is a powerful and versatile connector and has become widely adopted.
