These two models, among others such as the Galaxy A32 4G and Galaxy A32 5G, have been part of Samsung’s Galaxy series ‘A’ mid-range offers for 2021. These are expected to revamp the models under the Samsung brand.
What has Samsung done with the Galaxy A72? Here the low down on this exciting new gadget and all the reasons why it’s top choice for mid-range phones.
Design And Display
The Galaxy A72 has a plastic back, just like the pricier Galaxy S21. The phone comes in Awesome white, black, violet and blue. Adventure seekers will love its IP67 rating as well, as this says the phone is dust and water-resistant. You have the freedom to explore with little worry about your devices’ protection.
Its water resistance qualities are up to 30 minutes for depths of 1 metre, which is quite impressive.
The phone comes in a fairly traditional design cased in a 165 x 77.4x 8.4 mm and weighs in at 203 grams. The screen is a flat 1080 x 2400, 6.7-inch display that uses super AMOLED. The fingerprint sensor is on the screen, and it allows you to easily access and secure your phone.
You can also get the Samsung Pass biometric that lets you use your fingerprint to provide seamless, faster authentication for app and website logins.
You also get a 90Hz refresh rate, with 394 pixels per inch, brightness of 800 nits at the highest and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
Technically, this phone is bigger but enjoys the same resolution as the pricier Galaxy S21. It, however, has a lower refresh rate and a lower maximum brightness than the S21.
The Camera
The Galaxy A72 features a large camera block at the top left corner at the back of the phone. There is also a centred punch-hole camera at the top left end of the screen.
The rear camera has a 64 MP f/1.8 main camera, an 8 MP f/2.4 telephoto one, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide one and a 5MP f/2.4 macro one.
Specs And Features
The Samsung Galaxy A72 is Snapdragon 720G chipset powered. This makes the phone a mid-range 4G phone.
The battery is 5,000mAh, with 25W charging. While this is a good battery size, this phone does not have wireless charging. It, however, comes with its original charger, unlike the Samsung Galaxy S21 range.
The phone’s AI power management studies and adjusts to your phone usage to give you an extended battery life. The battery can last up to two days, though this is dependent on a couple of variables, including usage and the network environment.
For memory, the phone comes with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM. It also has 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. You can amp this up with a MicroSD card to 1 TB.
